A 17-year-old is charged with negligent homicide in Baton Rouge after shooting his friend by mistake with a shotgun. BRPD Corporal Don Coppola says 17-year-old Ahmad Antoine is charged with negligent homicide in the death of 17-year-old Devin Anderson. He says the investigation is ongoing, but they do have a good idea of what happened with the shotgun…:

If parents were told with a warning label that sugary drinks are bad for their children, they are less likely to buy them. That’s according to new research in the Journal of Pediatrics. California is proposing legislation that would put text warning labels on drinks with added sweeteners with 75 or more calories per 12 ounces. LSU Health Clinical Psychologist Michelle Moore hopes Louisiana would eventually see the benefit of such a measure…:

Good news for LSU. Football leaders announce linebacker Kendell Beckwith and cornerback/return specialist Tre’Davious White, two star juniors, have decided to return for their senior seasons. Today was the deadline to declare for the NFL draft. In a statement, Beckwith said he feel he has a lot of unfinished business at LSU and he looks forward to being back in Tiger Stadium on Saturdays. White says getting his college degree and becoming the first member of his family to graduate — as well as helping his team compete for a national title, is important to him than the NFL right now.
