California is proposing legislation that would put text warning labels on sweetened nonalcoholic drinks with added sweeteners with 75 or more calories per 12 ounces.

Officials with the Louisiana Marathon have disqualified the female first place finisher in the race for receiving assistance that is prohibited. They say Mandy West, a Nike Running account executive from St. Louis, was brought nutrition and liquids several times during the race in Baton Rouge by someone on a bike who wasn’t affiliated with the organization. Competitors are told prior to the race that such help is not allowed.
