Governor Jeff Landry is defending the state’s growing data center industry amid concerns about its impact on water supplies and electricity bills. Several data centers are already under construction in Louisiana, with more planned. Speaking at a State of the State luncheon in Monroe, Landry says the projects are important to the state’s economic future.

Shreveport Police are investigating a shooting that left three children injured, including a 2-year-old child and a 13-year-old who suffered life-threatening injuries. Authorities say it happened last night around 6:30 on Buncomb Road when an unknown suspect fired multiple rounds toward a basketball court.
