The University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s enrollment is down two and a half percent from last fall as there are about 400 less students attending the school. One of the reasons for the decline. The university said nearly 300 students were removed from the school because they did not meet academic progress requirements or paid required fees.
President Trump said this week if that Republicans maintain control of Congress after the midterm elections, every adult American would receive a five-thousand dollar check. Several Republican lawmakers are not on board with this idea. Senate Majority Leader John Thune has not endorsed it.
