LSU special assistant and former head football coach Ed Orgeron has been sidelined since mid-August with an undisclosed health issue. He missed both of the Tigers’ first games but head coach Lane Kiffin says his health is improving.

In a social media post, Governor Jeff Landry says his 16th annual gator hunt fundraiser in his hometown of St. Martinville brought in seven million dollars. FBI Director Kash Patel was one of the attendees this year. The money will go to Landry’s re-election campaign, the Louisiana Republican Party and political action committees connected to the governor.
