A horrific crime took place in Houma over the weekend as a 47-year-old man fatally stabbed four people and left a juvenile in critical but stable condition with stab wounds….

That’s Lt. Blake Tabor with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office. Tabor says man who authorities believe committed the murder, Kaegan Solet, is in custody. A relative and family advocate for the victims, Brandon Thiel, tells Fox 8 TV in New Orleans that Solet fathered a child with one of the victims killed.
In Webster Parish, authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a 58-year-old man during a domestic disturbance with his nephew. Sheriff Jason Parker says 21-year-old Luther David Hair is in custody in connection with the death of Daniel Hair, but Parker says there is no determination at this time what, if any charges will be filed.
