The Saints rallied from a 21-nothing deficit in the third quarter to force overtime but lost to Detroit 31 to 30. Tyler Shough had a rough first half, but caught fire and threw for 410 yards and three T-Ds. Chris Olave caught ten passes for a career-high 182 yards, but there’s one stat he did not achieve….

In O-T, Detroit scored a touchdown first, the Saints came back with a ten-play drive that finished with a Noah Fant touchdown catch. New Orleans decided to go for two, but Shough’s pass to the back corner of the end zone sailed out of bounds for a tough loss to start the 2026 season.
