A Missouri-based company is planning on putting up a data center in a community about eight miles north of Lake Charles, and the people who live there are not happy about it. Representative Brett Geymann (GUY-min), whose district includes Moss Bluff, says the people live there for a specific reason.
Representative Geymann says Moss Bluff was planned strictly as a residential community. Geymann says the people of Moss Bluff want to keep it that way.
Black Bayou Energy Hun, LLC has announced a 1.6 billion investment to expand its Lafayette headquarters and develop critical natural gas infrastructure in Cameron Parish. The move is expected to create 23 direct new jobs at the company’s two sites. State officials have estimated the project will also mean 35 indirect new jobs and 1000 construction jobs at its peak.
