Diesel prices in Louisiana have never been higher. The statewide average for diesel is almost $5.59 a gallon. Don Redman with Triple-A says the United States, being one of the leading exporters of diesel, is having to export a lot more of it, especially to Europe.

One of the stars of the TV show “Swamp People” was arrested in Iberville Parish. 44-year-old Willie Edwards Jr., who starred on the History Channel program which premiered in 2010, is charged with felony theft and possession of stolen items. This, after sheriff’s detectives found the stolen items at the home of 46-year-old Elgin Floyd.
