A tropical storm warning is now in effect in Cameron Parish. National Weather Service Meteorologist Donald Jones says it’s issued as a storm which is expected to become Tropical Storm Edouard has formed in the northern Gulf and is making its way to the Louisiana-Texas line.

As of ten this morning, the storm was packing maximum sustained winds of 35 miles an hour, just below the tropical storm threshold; and it’s expected to make landfall near the state line sometime tomorrow.

The family of a teenager who died earlier this month in the dilapidated Plaza Tower, located in the Central Business District of New Orleans, is planning to take legal action against the owners of the abandon building. There was no fence around the building when St. Ann and a group of his classmates went urban exploring inside the 45-story Plaza Tower.

 

Construction is underway on data centers and LNG facilities in Louisiana and soon work will begin on the new Hyundai Plant in Ascension Parish and Space X’s rocket launching facility in coastal Vermilion Parish. Louisiana Works Secretary Susie Schowen says not only will they need workers for Meta, Woodside Energy, Hyundai Steel and SpaceX, there will be job opportunities with businesses that service these mega projects…
