There are a couple of good position battles at Saints camp. At Linebacker, Danny Stutsman is getting some first-team reps ahead of Pete Werner. At defensive tackle, John Ridgeway is also seeing first-team snaps over veteran Nathan Shepherd. Meanwhile, second round draft pick and defensive tackle Christen Miller missed yesterday’s practice with a toe injury. The severity of the injury is unknown.
ULM kicked off camp yesterday. It’s year three for head coach Bryant Vincent. The Warhawks have just eight wins in the Vincent era due to six- and eight-game losing streaks to close out each of his first two seasons. Vincent says this team is learning from those mistakes.
