Tropical Storm Bertha continues to be a non-factor.  The center of the storm is currently located just below the central portion of the state’s coastline. It’s maximum sustained winds are at 45 miles per hour and it’s producing just scattered showers in south Louisiana. Entergy is reporting more than 800 outages because of gusty winds.

There is a protein craze as many people are increasing the protein they consume. Food manufacturers are also adding protein to products that traditionally do not have a lot of protein, like potato chips and coffee. But LSU Pennington Biomedical Research Center nutrition expert Dr. Jacob Mey says if your meals include lean meat, poultry, fish, eggs or low-fat dairy, you’re likely getting all the protein you need.
