It appears that Tropical Storm Bertha is going to end up being just one big dress rehearsal for South Louisiana. Lauren Chandler with the National Weather Service says Bertha, which at last check was packing maximum sustained winds of 50 miles an hour, is weakening and won’t have much of an impact when it makes landfall later this afternoon.

Leaders for a Better Louisiana says there are encouraging signs in ending years of out-migration. Better Louisiana CEO Adam Knapp says the most positive sign is that in 2024, the state grew by 24-thousand people. Knapp says Louisiana’s population grew for the first time since 2017, because fewer people moved away.

Knapp says the two largest age segments moving in were kids under 18 and adults age 25-to-34.

Former LSU star Ryan Clark is out as an NFL analyst on ESPN. He was one of several on-air personnel let go in another round layoffs by the sports network. Clark learned of his dismissal while on “NFL Live” on Monday. Outkick writer Dan Zaksheske doesn’t see Clark getting another job at a TV network anytime soon, but he’ll do just fine…
