Many parts of Louisiana have been the recipient of massive doses of rainfall today. A flash flood watch is in effect for South Louisiana well into this evening with a good chance of more rain. And from Baton Rouge to Lafayette, along with St. Martin and Iberia Parishes there’s high water on several roadways…:

While the state may be wet, a report released today of America’s happiest cities from The Wall street Journals’ Market Watch shows 5 Louisiana cities are at the very top of the list. From #5 to #1, they are: Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Shreveport-Bossier, Houma, and at the top of the list, Lafayette. New York was names the most unhappy city.

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s office says two people from Raceland are under arrest for allegedly abusing four children all under the age of 13. Spokesman Brennan Matherne says juvenile detectives were called to investigate a complaint regarding physical and sexual abuse of the kids…:

After questioning, detectives discovered a history of abuse with these 4 kids.

Thirteen people are under arrest on prostitution charges in Rapides Parish. Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Tommy Carnline says their detectives became suspicious when they came across internet advertisements that offered-quote- “massages,” “quality time” and “anything you want” at local hotels.
