After missing the postseason for the first time since 2011, LSU is revamping its baseball roster. Coach Jay Johnson has added six new talents from the transfer portal, including top portal prospect Bino Watters. Johnson says the former Notre Dame outfielder is a complete player.

Johnson also added Tulane outfielder Jason Wachs, who’s been the Green Wave’s best hitter the last two seasons. The transfer duo is expected to slot into the corners of the outfield.

There is one more day left in the college baseball season. Yesterday, North Carolina defeated Oklahoma six to two to end the Sooners nine game winning streak and set up a winner take all game tonight at Six PM.

 

Shreveport golfer and former LSU standout Sam Burns just missed out on winning his first major championship on Sunday as came up one shot short of U-S Open winner Wyndham Clark. Clark had a six-shot lead heading into the final round at Shinnecock, but Burns made it interesting by shooting a three-under par. Clark was three over on Sunday, but it was good enough to win.

The 2026 Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Induction ceremonies are on Saturday night and it will be televised on L-P-B. President of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame foundation, Ronnie Rantz, says there will also be Hall of Fame events that day in Natchitoches…
