Monroe Representative Michael Echols says he filed the legislation to get more federal dollars for the multi billion dollar project, but the Louisiana Senate refused to take up the bill, despite the House overwhelmingly approving it…

Echols says Senate President Cameron Henry told him he had no desire to take up any road or bridge-naming bills this year.
