For the fourth time in five weeks, LSU was swept by an SEC opponent. On Sunday, the Georgia Bulldogs had their way with the Tigers beating the Bayou Bengals 12 to 1 in seven innings. LSU’s pitchers struggled against one of the best offenses in the country as the Tigers gave up 36 runs over the weekend.

It was a good weekend for Louisiana Tech and U-L Lafayette. Both won their respective series, as the Bulldogs took two of three from Liberty and the Cajuns took two of three from App State. But ULM lost its series versus Marshall and will need to win its series this week against Troy for a shot at making the Sun Belt Tournament.

Southeastern Louisiana is regular season champs in the Southland Conference and will host H-C-U, McNeese and Nicholls in the Hammond Bracket of the Southland Tournament. The Colonels and Cowboys will play each other on Thursday afternoon.

Northwestern State is in the Lamar bracket and will play UTRGV.

The Saints had their rookies in town over the weekend for a rookie minicamp, including new receivers Jordan Tyson, Barion Brown and Bryce Lance from North Dakota State. With All-Pro Chris Olave and few veterans returning from injury, Coach Kellen Moore expects big things from the Saints receiver room…

LSU softball will host an NCAA Regional this weekend. The Tigers are a 16-seed and will have Akron, South Alabama and Virginia Tech in the B-R Regional. If LSU wins the regional, they will likely head to Tuscaloosa to play Alabama in the Super Regionals.

Southeastern Louisiana is in the Tuscaloosa Regional and McNeese is in the College Station Regional.
