LSU erupted for seven runs in the fifth inning and went on to beat UNO ten to seven last night. In that fifth inning, Steven Milam had a two-run double, and a pair of freshmen, Omar Serna and Jack Ruckert, each had two-run singles. Reliever Daniel Lachenmayer struck out five of the seven hitters he faced.
LSU heads to Mississippi State for a series this weekend, and they will not have one of their best players for that series and the rest of the season, as Jake Brown has a broken hamate bone in his wrist and will undergo surgery today.
La Tech left 15 runners on base and lost to McNeese four to three. Isaiah Keller had three hits, including two doubles, and scored the winning run in the eighth inning for the Cowboys
ULM topped Northwestern State four to one. Micah Dean hit a two-run homer, and Seaver Sheets struck out seven for his second win of the season.
The Cajuns clobbered Grambling 15 to 7. Lee Amedee and Drew Markle homered.

Cecilia football star Braylon Calais (COL-ay) is the fourth commitment in LSU’s 2027 recruiting class. He joins four-star quarterback Peyton “Pop” Houston out of Shreveport, whom Calais says played a major role in his decision to commit to the Tigers.
LSU sees Calais as a future receiver for the Tigers.
Lane Kiffin has been open about his commitment to a healthy lifestyle, as he avoids alcohol and works out regularly. He’s emphasized to his coaching staff the importance of staying in shape and has recently taken an active role in helping them improve their health at the facility.
LSU has just three more practices left in spring practice.
