Former DeRidder mayor Misty Roberts’ sentencing date has been pushed back from April 17th to June ninth to give her attorneys more time to gather various transcripts for their pre-sentencing motions and to gather evidence. A month ago, Roberts was found guilty of having sex with a 16-year-old while she was the mayor.
There’s a good chance the state will see rain this weekend as a cold front will begin to push through the northwestern part of the state tonight and it will take until Sunday morning before the front moves through the state. LSU Health Climatologist Barry Keim says this cold front will certainly produce a lot of rain, it will not produce nearly enough of it to get us out of our current drought.

She earned two more perfect 10s last night to give her 12 for her career, eleven of them have occurred this season.
