The LSU baseball team begins a crucial three-game series in Knoxville against Tennessee this weekend. Junior outfielder Jake Brown says he enjoys playing on the road even if it means playing in hostile ballparks.

Louisiana Tech fell 7-4 to FIU last night to drop its eighth straight game. The Bulldogs will look to get back on track in Game 2 today at 5 p.m.

ULM baseball dropped a 10-7 heartbreaker to Georgia State in 13 innings in the series opener last night. The Warhawks will try to even the series today at 2 p.m.

Northwestern State baseball continues to stay hot, after securing a 17-9 win over Texas Rio Grande Valley in Game 1 of the series. Game 2 is set for tonight at 6:30 p.m.

Will Wade has made the first addition to his LSU coaching staff. Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports that former Mississippi State head coach Rick Stansbury is joining the Tigers as associate head coach. Stansbury is the all-time winningest coach in Mississippi State history, compiling a 293–166 record. He was most recently an assistant coach on Penny Hardaway’s staff at Memphis from 2022-2024.

LSU is getting ready to close out its second week of spring football practice. Last season, LSU’s rushing offense ranked 124th nationally, averaging just 104 yards per game. The offensive line also allowed 29 sacks. Sophomore running back Harlem Berry says this year’s unit has already shown tremendous improvement.
