A huge come-from-behind win for the LSU baseball team yesterday at Alex Box Stadium. The Tigers got down seven to nothing in the third inning, but ended up winning 17-10.  West Monroe’s John Pearson got the Tigers back in the game with a grand slam in the third inning. Mandeville’s Seth Dardar hit a three-run home run in the sixth to give LSU the lead. Dardar flipped his bat way in the air and was fired up as he circled the bases…

LSU is now 4-and-5 in SEC play and they’ll be at Tennessee this weekend.

ULM nearly swept the Ragin Cajuns. U-L Lafayette avoided the sweep with a four to nothing win over the Warhawks. Still a positive weekend for ULM, who is now 6-3 in the Sun Belt.

The first place team in Conference USA, Jacksonville State, swept Louisiana Tech.

Following LSU’s season-ending loss to Duke in the Sweet 16, Hall of Fame coach Kim Mulkey addressed a report that she is retiring. A social media post during the game reported that this was Mulkey’s last game. Mulkey shot the rumor down in the postgame press conference…

After missing five games last season due to an ankle injury, linebacker Whit Weeks decided to return to LSU for his senior season. Weeks says a big deciding factor in his decision was Blake Baker remaining the defensive coordinator.
