Will Wade is back in Baton Rouge as the LSU men’s basketball coach four years after he was fired for committing recruiting violations. Wade was previously the head coach at LSU from 2017 to 2022. His teams reached the NCAA Tournament three times, and the Tigers won an SEC regular season title in 2019.
In a statement, Wade said it was not an easy decision to leave North Carolina State after just one season, but it was a chance to come home to a place that shaped him, and where the passion for basketball runs deep and expectations match the opportunity.
