The debate over whether fluoride belongs in public drinking water systems is back before the state legislature again. After his bill failed in the House last year, Houma Senator Mike Fesi has again authored legislation to ban fluoride from all water supplies. After objections, the bill has been amended and allow communities to vote to ban the additive but communities without fluoride in their water could call for a vote to add it.
