LSU is back home on Thursday night as they host Arkansas at 7 PM.

According to the Athletic’s Dianna Russini, Tigers offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. spoke to the Philadelphia Eagles about their offensive coordinator vacancy but is staying at LSU.

Former LSU defensive coordinator Daronte Jones is the new D-C for the Washington Commanders.

Sophomore pitcher Casan Evans is coming off one of the best freshman pitching seasons in LSU history. Evans had a 5-and-1 record with a 2.05 ERA and struck out out 71 in just over 50 innings. Evans is expected to be a weekend starter this year and is focusing on improving two pitches.

The Tigers season opener is February 13th against Milwaukee.

In college hoops today. Northwestern State is at Southland leader Stephen F Austin for a 3 PM tip. C-B-S Sports Network will televise this game. UNO is at Nicholls in a game that will tip off at 3:30. Southeastern Louisiana hosts McNeese at 6 PM in Hammond.
