The Thanksgiving holiday started with five fatalities on the roadway in two separate wrecks according to State Police. Trooper Melissa Matey says the first fatality crash took place Wednesday night in Iberia Parish….

Matey says the deceased have been identified as 45-year-old Jones Mitchell and his 25-year-old nephew Gerald Mitchell. The second crash occurred Thanksgiving morning in Plaquemines Parish.

It’ll be wet across north Louisiana this weekend. Davyon Hill, with the National Weather Service in Shreveport, says the rain is from a cold front that stretches across the entire United States. Hill says northwest Louisiana will see the largest rainfall totals and he says the rain will stretch down into central Louisiana…
