Edwards told the crowd that he has no intention to take the voucher program off the books, but would seek to steer the program back to its original purpose…

State judge William Bennett has allowed one of two marshals involved in a November 3rd fatal shooting of a six-year-old boy in Marksville to post bond. Norris Greenhouse Junior was having trouble getting released from jail, because state law bans lawyers from posting bond. Greenhouse’s father is an attorney, but Judge Bennett said that law doesn’t apply to this case.

Blue Bell ice cream lovers have an additional reason to celebrate this holiday season. The creamery announces its coming back to the Pelican State on December 21st. Blue Bell pulled its ice cream from the shelves in April over listeria concerns. The popular ice cream has been coming back in phases over the last few months. Spokesperson Joe Robertson says most of their retail partners have welcomed them back and they’ll be in most major grocery stores. He says currently, they’re only selling five flavors of ice cream.
