The drama over former LSU Coach Brian Kelly’s buyout is over as the university has informed Kelly that he’s been terminated without cause and the school will play the required buyout, which is 54-million dollars. Kelly will receive monthly payments over six years as long as he makes a good faith effort to find another job, whether that’s coaching or in the media.
Pro Football Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk will reportedly be the next head coach at Southern University. The New Orleans native has served as Colorado’s running backs coach this season.
ULM has reportedly found its next athletics director, and if you watched the movie “The Blindside,” you are familiar with him. It’s S-J Touhy, the son of Sean and Leigh Ann Touhy, who took in Michael Oher, before he became a big NFL star. Touhy is currently the deputy A-D at Oral Roberts and has also worked in the athletics departments of UCF, Arkansas, SMU and Liberty.
