More drivers in Louisiana will see their auto insurance rates go down. The Department of Insurance approves decreases of seven-percent for Allstate North American and 15-percent for Encompass. Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple says the industry told him if the state can decrease frivolous lawsuits and outrageous settlements, rates will go down.
The Lafourche Parish School Board is under fire for how it handled an incident involving boys sharing A-I fake nude images of female classmates. One girl was expelled, later rescinded, after fighting a boy on a school bus who had shared her image. Her family’s lawyer, Gregory Miller, told the board she took matters into her own hands after her pleas to the school for help fell on deaf ears.

LSU’s three-game losing streak is over following their 22-21 win over Arkansas at Tiger Stadium Saturday afternoon. The game also marked the first start in an LSU uniform for sophomore transfer quarterback Michael Van Buren after Garrett Nussmeier was ruled out. Van Buren says this is a win he will not soon forget.
