LSU’s defense will have to face another dual-threat quarterback this week with Vanderbilt’s Diego Pavia. Head coach Brian Kelly says they want to make Pavia one-dimensional.

Kelly says LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier is fine after suffering a minor ankle sprain in the win against South Carolina.

Former LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels threw for 311 yards and three touchdowns last night, but he also turned it over twice, including a critical fumble that set up a game winning field goal by the Bears as Chicago escaped D-C with a 25-24 win. The Saints are at Chicago this Sunday.

 

UL-Lafayette head coach Michael Desormeaux (DEZ-er-moe) says junior quarterback Walker Howard is back practicing fully this week after missing the last six weeks with an oblique injury that required surgery. Lunch Winfield is still the Cajuns’ starting quarterback, but Desormeaux says Howard is glad to be back.

In the high school football polls, undefeated Vandebilt Catholic has moved into the Top 10 in the Class 4 poll. North DeSoto remains ranked number one in Four-A. Mangham has entered the top ten in the Class 2A poll. Ouachita Christian remains ranked number one in Two, followed by Lafayette Christian.
