Suspects, twenty-three-year-old Ethan Bush of Boyce was pronounced dead after he was struck by traffic and 26-year-old Tristan Bush of Lafayette is facing second degree murder charges.

Three young heroes emerged in Lafourche Parish last week. Brothers Jacques and Nathan Billiot and their friend Brady Dufrene rushed into the water to save a woman who had driven into the water near Besson’s Boat Launch in Cut Off Thursday evening. The trio did not hesitate to act and were able to rescue an elderly woman still inside her car. Firefighters who responded to the scene praised the selfless bravery of the young men.  No one else was in the vehicle.

Homecoming week is extra special at Southeastern Louisiana University this week as the school celebrates its 100th anniversary. S-L-U President Dr. William Wainwright says the university has a series of events planned as it celebrates its centennial.
