Those of you who have Farm Bureau auto insurance could be in for a nearly 12 percent decrease in your premiums next year.  Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple says it’s due to the work of the legislature earlier this year AND lower than projected losses for Farm Bureau this past fiscal year. Temple says overall Louisiana is becoming a more attractive state for insurance companies to do business.

Congressman Cleo Fields is facing allegations of insider trading after reportedly buying a large amount of Oracle stock days before President Trump gave the technology giant a leading role in TikTok’s pending U.S. spinoff from a Chinese company. Fields denies he had any inside knowledge, saying there are strict rules for reporting such trades in a timely manner, and he always does his sooner than necessary.

College football in Louisiana is light today, but as Jeff Palermo reports, there are some games of interest.

Weekend temperatures will be warmer than usual for October in Louisiana.  But Southeast  Louisiana could see some rain on Sunday.  But State Climatologist Jay Grimes says that won’t be the case for North Louisiana.
