LSU’s offense will face a very familiar face when it travels to Oxford on Saturday. Ole Miss senior safety Sage Ryan started his career at LSU, but he transferred to the Rebels in the offseason. Head coach Lane Kiffin says the former Lafayette Christian Academy star brings valuable experience to the secondary.
There are two other former Tigers on Ole Miss’s roster. In four games, running back Logan Diggs has 117 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Da’Shawn Womack has 10 tackles, one tackle for a loss and three quarterback hurries.
Former LSU star Paul Skenes threw six shutout innings last night against the Reds to finish his season with an ERA of 1.97. Skenes ERA last year was 1.96 and he joked after the game that he was worse this year. He also set the Pirates single season strikeout record.
The Ragin Cajuns will host Marshall on Saturday night in a rematch of last year’s Sun Belt Championship game. U-L Lafayette can’t shake the injury bug. One of the Cajuns’ top receivers, Shelton Sampson, will miss several weeks with a hamstring injury, and injuries have also decimated their offensive line. Coach Michael Desormeaux…
