Cut 19 (15) “…the week”

Ole Miss Coach Lane Kiffin says Austin Simmons will start at quarterback if he’s 100-percent healthy.  Simmons has an ankle injury and did not play in last Saturday’s win against Tulane. Trinidad Chambliss has played well in Simmons’ absence. The transfer from Ferris State threw for 353 yards and a touchdown against Arkansas and 307 yards and two TDs against Tulane. He also rushed for 112 yards against the Green Wave.

 

The Saints are 0-and-3 and it looks bleak after getting pummeled 44 to 13 by the Seahawks on Sunday. New Orleans allowed a franchise high 38 points in the first half. Coach Kellen Moore is eager to see how his team responds to the blowout loss…

Cut 17 (16) “…get it done now”

The Saints are at Buffalo this Sunday and the Bills are favored by 16.5 points. The Saints have not been that big of an underdog since 1975.

And NOLA.com is reporting the Superdome lease negotiations have stalled because of pending deals regarding related properties, such as the Benson Tower, Champions Square and the Saints practice facility. According to Times-Picayune reporter Jeff Duncan, the state wants a lease agreement on the Superdome only and draw up separate lease deals for the other properties, while the Saints prefer all of it under one lease agreement.
