The four individuals arrested are Rickey Chaney, Daylon Andrus, Ja Andrea Kentrell Willis and Kimmy Ray Dauntain Junior. The charges against the four men have been upgraded to second degree murder.

 

The mother of the 12-year-old autistic boy found dead in a lagoon has been arrested and charged with second-degree cruelty to a juvenile and negligent homicide. The Orleans Parish coroner ruled the child’s death to be a drowning with blunt trauma consistent with an alligator attack. Detectives also say the mother was cruel and negligent. Deputy superintendent for the NOPD, Nicholas Gernon, says 34-year-old Hilda Vasquez was arrested previously for abusing Bryan when he was just three months old…

Gernon would not go into detail as to the circumstances of DCFS returning Bryan to the home or when it happened.

 

It was 90 years ago today when then-Governor Huey Long was shot inside the State Capitol. Two days later, Governor Long would die as a result from injuries suffered in that shooting. Richard White wrote a book on Huey Long’s life; he said there were two Huey Longs – first, there was the Huey Long before his impeachment.
