The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office says a fight over a dog sale led to the death of a Thibodaux man. They say 38-year-old Danny Breaux arranged to purchase a dog from 39-year-old Cuong Tran, but left with the dog without paying. Breaux returned later and an argument ensued which led to Breaux punching Tran. Tran collapsed and hit his head on the roadway. He was taken to an area hospital where he later died. Breaux faces a charge of second degree murder.
Joe’s Crab Shack, which has two locations in Louisiana, is the first major restaurant chain to experiment with a no-tipping policy. The restaurant said front house workers at select restaurants will now earn hourly wages of around $12-$14 and prices on the menu increase around 15%. It looks like fall weather is definitely on its way as a cold front finishes passing the state today. State Climatologist Barry Keim says low temperatures will drop into the 40s by Saturday and Sunday.
