The Louisiana Public Service Commission approved Entergy Louisiana’s plan to build three natural gas-powered turbine generators to power Meta’s proposed A-I data center in Richland Parish. Entergy says the cost to build these plants will be minimal to the ratepayer, but Renee Carthan of Lake Charles says her electrical bill is already too high.

Livingston Parish Sheriff deputies arrested 57-year-old Michael Ardoin after finding hundreds of dollars’ worth of stolen meat products on him. Sheriff Jason Ard says Ardoin stole lean hamburger meat and ribeye steaks from a store in Denham Springs.
