The father of one of the Marksville officers accused of second degree murder in the death of a 6-year-old boy is reportedly arranging to post the $1 million dollar bond for his son. The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office says Norris Greenhouse Sr. was securing a property bond for the accused, 23-year-old Norris Greenhouse Jr.

More people are showing up to early vote in the November 21st Gubernatorial runoff than they were in the primary. That’s according to Secretary of State Tom Schedler who thinks voters are more engaged now that the ballot is smaller and the candidates are becoming more well known…:

Polls are closed today in observance of Veterans Day. Early voting ends Saturday.

We’re well into November but, apparently, no one has told the mosquitoes. There are an unusual high number of mosquitoes being seen buzzing around for this time of year. Colby Colona, President of the Louisiana Mosquito Control Association, says blame the weather..:
