LSU head coach Brian Kelly is being extra cautious with work management when it comes to linebacker Whit Weeks and quarterback Garrett Nussmeier. After Weeks was held out of Friday’s practice, Kelly said the junior linebacker will not participate in five straight practices until the week of Clemson but will be back for Saturday’s scrimmage.

Kelly also said that Nussmeier reached an amount of throws that allows him to slow down for a day. Kelly said the veteran quarterback will practice fully in Saturday’s scrimmage.
