A six-year-old Slidell boy was riding his scooter in his driveway when he was hit and killed by an SUV whose driver then fled the scene. It happened Wednesday around 6 PM and St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s office Spokesperson, Lt. Suzanne Carboni says the SUV was located later in the evening and the driver, 35-year-old Cody Beaudette was arrested. She says Sheriff Randy Smith sends his condolences to the child’s family
