The music community is in mourning today after the passing of New Orleans music icon Allen Toussaint. Eric Gill reports…:

Bayou Country Superfest organizers announced this morning that yet another star studded lineup will hit Tiger Stadium over Memorial Day Weekend 2016. In its 7th year, the BCS will showcase Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Eric Chuch, Dierks Bentley, Darius Rucker, Little Big Town and Lady Antebellum just to name a few.

The Council for a Better Louisiana and Louisiana Public Broadcasting are hosting tonight’s televised gubernatorial debate between Republican David Vitter and Democrat John Bel Edwards. CABL President Barry Erwin says they hope to make this feel more like a real debate with more back and forth between the candidates…:

The debate begins at 7PM and will be televised statewide on LPB stations.

Also set to debate tonight is Governor Bobby Jindal in the lower-teir Republican Presidential event at 6pm on the Fox Business Network. The main two hour debate will be on at 8pm.
