Two men have been arrested in the case of the 6-year-old child who was fatally shot when State Police say Marksville City Marshals fired upon the vehicle he was riding in last week. Col Mike Edmonson says Norris Greenhouse Jr. and Derrick Stafford were booked on charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder in the death of the child, Jeremy Mardis, and the injuring of his father, Chris Few. The police investigation is ongoing.

Democratic gubernatorial candidate John Bel Edwards has released a new TV attack ad accusing Republican opponent David Vitter of answering a prostitute’s call after skipping a vote to honor soldiers killed in the line of duty. Political analyst Bernie Pinsonat says Edwards is on the attack, but says there is a risk when a candidate goes negative against his opponent and we saw that play out in the primary…
