An 18-year-old was killed in a mass shooting that occurred during the early morning hours on Sunday in Natchitoches. Latravion Stallworth was pronounced dead at the scene. Three of the other five victims were treated and released, while two other victims remained hospitalized. No arrests have been made….

Louisiana public schools are waiting for more information after the U-S Department of Education told individual states it’s withholding nearly seven-billion dollars in education grants. Michael Faulk, the Executive director of the Louisiana Association of School Superintendents, says this caught school systems off guard.

A 12-member team that’s comprised of firefighters from Baton Rouge, Zachary, West Feliciana, and Shreveport are in Texas to aid in catastrophic flood response, particularly in Kerr County.  Baton Rouge Fire Chief Michael Kimble says swift water operations are ongoing, and they are there as a back-up to a team already conducting them…

Governor Jeff Landry is hailing Emma Foltz of Alexandria, a hero after she played an instrumental role in helping to evacuate 14 of her campers at Camp Mystic to safety.

During a Fourth of July celebration at the White House, President Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill into Law. The legislation extends tax cuts approved in 2017 and creates new ones like for workers who receive tips or overtime compensation. Senator Bill Cassidy says the legislation also ends several consumer tax credits connected to clean energy…
