There’s a new poll out on the governor’s race that finds Democrat John Bel Edwards leads Republican David Vitter by 20 points in the runoff. The Nextstar TV stations/JMC Analytics survey shows Edwards receiving 25-percent of the Republican vote. Pollster John Couvillion says that’s not good news for Vitter…:

The poll shows Edwards receiving 52-percent of the vote compared to Vitter’s 32-percent.

The 86-year-old woman from Slidell who was desperatley searching for her wedding ring she thought she lost in a bag of candy Halloween night, has found it. The local police department posted on Facebook that the woman ended up finding it near the spot where she was handing out candy in her front yard. The woman and her family asked cops to help get the word out as it was feared the precious ring could be in a child’s trick or treat bag. The family is thanking everyone who shared the post on Facebook and offered assistance.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says a Pineville man is under arrest accused of vandalizing a church. They say agents followed the vehicle of 21-year-old Charles Melancon and he claimed the loud noise they heard was gunshots coming from words. Invesitgators later discovered the church door was kicked in and the suspect later admitted to the crime. Melancon was booked by Grant Parish deputies for unauthorized entry and simple criminal damage to property.
