The Louisiana Department of Education is releasing the report cards for high schools with only grades 9-12 for the 2014-2015 school year. They say schools made progress in every measure the state uses to assess high school quality including ACT, graduation rate and end of course tests.

State Police Col Mike Edmonson announces the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles collected just over $2 million dollars in car insurance lapse fines since they sent out 1.2 million warning letters to drivers. He said that as of Wednesday, the agency was able to clear the driving records of about 30,000 people since the notices went out October 13th…:

More and more parishes have decided to move trick or treat to tomorrow night instead of Halloween night on Saturday due to inclement weather conditions.

Shreveport Police have arrested two people they believe are responsible for a deadly shooting that killed one and injured two others. Cpl. Breck Scott says 29-year-old Elbert Fredieu (FREE-doo) and 24-year-old Scarlett Groce (gross), were taken into custody Wednesday. Scott says authorities found Fredieu working at Barksdale Air Force Base…:
