Officials are looking for a 2007 white Chevrolet pick that was captured on camera at the truck stop on Sunday when the victims were left there.

The Lake Charles Police Department says a three year old child was shot during a suspected home invasion early this morning. Deputy Chief Mark Kraus says the homeowner claimed that the two at large burglars beat him with a gun when it went off and struck the child. He says crimes like these are usually connected to some other type of criminal activity..:

A man from Port Allen facing solicitation of murder charges was sentenced to 10 years in prison for trying to have an elderly Point Coupee couple killed over a business deal gone wrong. Prosecutor Tony Clayton says 38-year-old Tommy Gioele admitted guilt in the murder for hire plot against Manuel Persica and his wife Camellia…:

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office confirms that New Orleans Saints Assistant Head Coach Joe Vitt was injured over the weekend while chasing two people who were trying to steal cars in his Metairie neighborhood. They say Vitt saw a woman in his front lawn trying to break into a neighbor’s car then he saw a man in his own car. While chasing them, cops say Vitt fell and was injured. Sources say he broke his ankle and arm in the fall.
