Lafayette Parish state lawmaker Brach Myers believes a crime was committed in his election to the state senate. Myers defeated Broussard City Councilman Jesse Regan in last Saturday’s election. Myers says there’s an open investigation into one or more fake organizations claiming that Lady Democrats endorsed him in the race. Myers says the fake endorsement cost him votes and Regan says he had nothing to do with it.
