The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says a total of ten bears, eight males and two females were harvested during a black bear hunting season that ended Sunday….

Military veteran Deron Santiny from Lafayette harvested a 696-pound bear in Tensas Parish. It’s believed to be the largest harvested bear in the state’s history.
