The UL-Lafayette football program is being accused of a major rules violation by the NCAA. The Daily Advertiser says the allegations are connected to an academic eligibility issue regarding the standardized test scores of several recruits over the past few years. The alleged wrongdoing seems to be centered around former assistant coach David Saunders. It’s believed that neither the students nor any other coach had knowledge of what was taking place.
LSU finally found its passing game in their 45-24 victory over South Carolina Saturday. Quarterback Brandon Harris threw for a career-high 227 yards and two touchdowns.
