The Saints are on the verge of missing the playoffs for a fourth consecutive season, but ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports New Orleans is unlikely to replace General Manager Mickey Looms. The Black and Gold are 4-and-8 and will visit the two and ten Giants on Sunday.

LSU tight end Mason Taylor has announced he’s entering the NFL draft after three seasons with the Tigers. Taylor was second on the team in receptions with 55 catches for 546 yards and two touchdowns. Taylor leaves LSU as the all-time leader in school history for receiving yards by a tight end.

But Tigers receiver Aaron Anderson says he is returning next season. The former Edna Karr star is third on the team in receptions with 53 catches for 784 yards and five touchdowns.

U-L Lafayette’s Michael Desormeaux has been named the Sun Belt Coach of the Year after leading the Ragin Cajuns to a Western Division title. Quarterback Ben Woolridge is the Offensive Player of the year as he’s thrown for 23-hundred yards and 17 touchdowns.

ULM’s Ahmad Hardy is the Sun Belt Freshman of the year as he’s tenth in the nation with 1,351 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns.

McNeese has brought back Matt Viator as its head coach in the hopes he can bring the Cowboys a 15th Southland Conference Championship. Viator led the Pokes to their last Southland title in 2015…
