Three of the four major gubernatorial candidates will participate in a debate tonight in Baton Rouge. Democrat John Bel Edwards and Republicans Jay Dardenne and Scott Angelle will face off in a forum hosted by WVLA-TV and Fox 44. Republican Senator David Vitter will not be in attendance. The debate begins at 7PM and will air on TV stations across the state and online at brproud.com.

This Saturday’s LSU-South Carolina football game has been moved to Baton Rouge because of catastrophic flooding in the Columbia, South Carolina area. LSU Coach Les Miles says the uncertainty on where the game would be played has not been a distraction for his team…

In a blog post following the mass shooting at an Oregon community college, Governor Bobby Jindal says the gunman’s father is partly to blame for the deadly incident.
